We created a microsite for Eurosport in 9 languages, showing their 6 new identity videos, some sport emotion videos, the making of, etc – also a password protected press section (with countdown to launch) and downloadable press packs; together with a a photography competition for consumers, allowing users to upload photos to the site and then vote on their favorite photo using facebook “likes”. At the end of each week, the winner with the most votes / “likes” received a prize from Eurosport.
We were responsible for creating the microsite. We encoded all the videos, built the site with CMS, (which works on ipad and iphone), built the competition, the admin back end for Eurosport to approve / administer site comments or photography entries and we did all this in just under 4 weeks.
The competition was online for 8 weeks and during that time has had over 820,000 (not far off 1 million) Facebook impressions. Within the first week of the site launching it had already had over 220,000 unique visitors across Europe – so Eurosport’s new idents are being seen by the masses. It has been a really fun project.
